Independent-folk/rock oddities Albrechtâs Pencil commenced their bid for global supremacy in the spring of 2007, after a chance collision in the music department of Queens University Belfast.

A heady collage of (amongst other things) intricate guitar work, epic larynx abuse and unexpected brazilian instruments, their maverick music draws from diverse sources while remaining thoroughly un-pigeonholeable (naturally!).

Their debut disc 'Extended Play' was recorded with Liam Craig in the McMordie Hall, Belfast in February 2008 and represents just a fraction of the duo's back catalogue. Showcasing 5 of their most popular tracks, this CD is the perfect introduction to a band on the verge of, well, on a large and verdant grassy verge full of musical mysteries...
