Be-1 "The Band" is a unique blend of World Beat, Reggae, Electronica, Latin, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Funk, Soul, and Gospel with an R&B edge. The music has a positive message with a strong vocal presentation and is designed to make people come alive and dance. The instrumentation includes Drums, Bass, Guitar, Keyboards, Vocals, and some prerecorded samples and live percussion. Our goal as a band is to spread a positive universal message through words and music, have the dance floor packed, people sitting down moving in their seats, and bartenders and venue staff enjoying themselves while being flooded with customers. We promote love, laughter, happiness, well being, and spiritual up-liftment for our audience. We encourage audience participation trough movement and sing along. The band was established in 2006. Brian Hall is the vocalist and band leader. He has performed and played with many other groups and ensembles over the years and now has his own group. He has a wide variety of styles and influences. Classically trained and has a Bachelors of Science in Music Technology from the University of Oregon in 2002. The music is powerful and has meaning. Samples of traditional Jamacian rhythms mixed with an American style creates a unique sound for people of all ages to enjoy.
