Details:
Father Son Band
FSB Father Son Band accurately describes the genealogy of this musical ensemble. With an emphasis on lyric content and vocal styles, the band is comprised of two generations playing together with a blend of vitality and mellow wisdom. The bands vast play list includes a delicate balance of original rock and roll as well as timeless rock and blues classics and some obscure covers. FSB will take you on a musical journey through searing guitar passages past a family boogie and ultimately leaving you with a haunting melody line.

Singer/ songwriter Patrick Flynn lends his considerable song writing talent and command of various guitar and keyboard instruments to the group. Pat's strong lead vocals and musicianship truly define him as the musical leader of the group. A veteran of early Sonoma state college bands Come Again and Father Grumble Flynn has achieved local notoriety and respect. Patrick is the founder of Silverado Records, and has been active in the music business for over 30 years.

Bass player Isaiah Flynn while holding down the bottom of the bands sound also shares much of the vocal load. Isaiah has combined the rare talents of wailing blues vocals and solid bass licks to add spice and enthusiasm to the band. In addition to producing the Father Son Band's first album, Isaiah has produced several other projects for Silverado Records. With a keen ear and an ability to get the most out of the artist's he works with, Isaiah has distinguished himself as an up and comer in the Music Industry.

Drummer Dale Durant shares much more than his drumming prowess with FSB. Dale comes from a strong gospel background with emphasis on vocals. He is responsible for many of the vocal arrangements on the album and was instrumental in forming the haunting background vocals that the band is known for. Dale toured the country and recorded several albums with The Crandall Brothers in the 70's and is regarded as a premier gospel vocalist.

Lead Guitarist Jim Durant is the youngest member of the group and perhaps the most exiting. Jim brings the scintillating electric guitar sounds that alternately cut through and punctuate in his spontaneous guitar style. Influenced by the masters Hendrix, Santana, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Pink Floyd's Dave Gilmour Jim has carved a unique blend of fire and mellow tones which bring the band to life.

FSB's debut album "Relativity" was released on the Silverado Records label in 1996. The band embarked on a 3 year promotional tour, highlighted by an appearance on the KRON/BayTV morning show in San Francisco. They played countless live shows in Sonoma,Marin, Napa and Lake Counties. Several of the songs from "Relativity" have received radio airplay from local and bay area stations, and the album was recently featured on a prominent Los Angeles Independent station.

Although FSB is no longer performing live, another CD will soon be available. "Spontaneous Combustion" is a collection of live recordings taken from various performences during the bands heyday, and will be released later in 2004.
