"Moment/Lifetime" was created for the Modern Dance Piece "Truth" in collaboration with Turkish Choreographer Beliz Demircioglu. The piece premiered @ New York Universityâs Tish School of the Arts Auditorium on 2/28/03, it went on to be performed at various dance festivals around the world and on Broadway.
âSakunaâ was commissioned by The Island Moving Company and also reviewed in The New York Times.
âPartial Viewâ was created as a sound track for a video short and for a live dance performance piece by choreographer Andrea Woods "Souloworks" Dance Company.
My music is dedicated to Marisol, for with her all things seem possible and without her all things possible seem less meaningful.

Bio:
Chris DeRosa is a Professional Drummer/Composer who currently lives in New York City, but his experience has taken him to many parts of the world (over 40 countries).
As a well-versed Seasoned Drummer Chris has studied at both The Berklee College of Music where he received the prestigious Buddy Rich Jazz Masters scholarship and at the University Of Miami where he was the recipient of the Bowman Ashe scholarship for artistic and academic achievement. There he also received his Studio Music/Jazz Performance degree.

As a creative drummer Chris has been featured in both Modern Drummer and DRUM! Magazines. Chris plays all styles of music (ie. Rock, Reggae, Jazz, Latin, Brazilian, Pop, Afro, and Solo drumming) and has released many offerings as both a leader and a sideman. Chris has performed on among others WXPNâs (Philadelphia) âWorld Cafeâ, WDSTâs (Woodstock) âSessionsâ, has toured the Middle East for the Armed Forces in support of our troops, and toured China as part of a Jazz Cultural Exchange.
