Guidance Counselor is the solo project of Ian H. Anderson, it is an electronic-based project that has been self-proclaimed as "ADD". The songs of GC range in styles from erratically spewed hip-hop tracks on one end, to futurist-punk basement jams on the other. Guidance Counselor has proved himself as the craftsman of party music for the tragically bored and potentially manic-depressive.
This CD, "Get Brave", is the first release by Guidance Counselor, with all the packaging hand assembled by Ian himself in his basement bedroom. "Brave" is a great album for anyone who is finding their Daft Punk records too lifeless and their Cure records too nostalgic. The full-length CD also features two alternate covers, one featuring a dream-catcher, and the other depicting a reclining young woman.
