Details:
James "JAG" was born James Autry Jagneaux on July 4th, 1938 about a mile away from a little Cajun town called Lawtell, Louisiana in St. Landry Parish (near Opelousas and Lafayette, Louisiana). He is the eldest of five siblings. His father and mother were sweet potato farmers and grew cotton for their livelihood. Of course this meant that everyone in the family worked on the farm from early morning until dark. School came in between the regular chores, milking the cows, feeding the chickens, picking up the eggs, planting and harvesting the crops, giving him a chance to sing most of the day. When he became of age, "JAG" left the farm to work as a carpenter. He supported his wife and three daughters by working as a construction superintendent for major building contractors, building hospitals, schools, waterplants and houses until he went into business for himself. In 1993 "JAG" injured his back on the job and became disabled, unable to work in the construction field. As a young boy on the farm, he always loved to tell stories and sing the old cajun and country songs that were handed down from his ancestors. His father and uncles all played some type of instrument when their families would get together to sing and dance and have a good time. "JAG" sang all his life for the pure pleasure.(He sounded just like Hank Williams, Sr.) After his injury his wife bought a guitar and urged him to learn to play to keep him busy and to use his talents to entertain people who need laughter in their lives.

People who are interested in Alan Jackson Gene Autry Hank Williams should consider this download.
