A really cool car show is being held and I was retained to appear there on the main stage. It started me thinking about the music that would be played during the event.

The Beach Boys, Jan & Dean, The Ventures, and how great their contribution to the music world has been. Ahhh...those great Car & Beach songs. Timeless material with a sound and feeling that remains with you forever. Embedded in our memories and as American as it gets.
As I pondered this, it occurred to me that nobody has written anything new like it in what.. 30 years? I grew up on the Beaches of Southern California listening to this music on my transistor radio, catching rays and watching the beautiful girls. I knew the formula for the music and decided it was way over due for a return to it. So I wrote "Hot Rods & Summer" and played it for everyone I ran into. THEY LOVED IT! I decided to do an EP - wrote 5 more songs and "Throw it in Reverse" was born. Ya gotta love it! It's like a shift back in time, but with all new, orginal material. At last, something new for us car and beach song lovers.
