A powerful combination of rock, power blues, and electric roots music perhaps best described as Rockabluesic, with world-class guitars, powerful vocals, innovative arrangements, and rockin' cool melodies with meaningful lyrics.

ROCK: Classic Rock, BLUES: Blues-Rock
Details:
Robert Stanley, The Roadman, is an accomplished musician, songwriter, and performer. He is the driving force behind the eclectic style of his Hammer. His vocals range from powerful to tender; you feel that heâs lived what heâs singing, indeed his lyrics are drawn from the pages of his own life. Robert is also an exciting and innovative guitarist, fiery at times, tasteful always, with an undercurrent of blues.
Robert grew up in Chicago and became interested in music at an early age. He was also a standout baseball player and he had visions of becoming a major leaguer. Music, however, started to become his passion and he had to choose what direction he would take.
As a teen, he became enamored with the blues as many of Chicagoâs great bluesmen would visit a neighbor on summertime Sundays and enjoy an afternoon of music, ribs, and various forms of liquid refreshment.
Around that time, Robertâs parents bought him his first guitar and at the age of fifteen he began playing in a band. He showed a knack for writing music and, more and more, introduced his songs into his bandâs repertoire. This was the pattern in all of his early bands and he began writing songs for the stable of bands of a small Chicago record label.
As a performer, Robert came to be known for his fiery vocals and guitar style, as well as his unpredictable stage antics. As time went on, he found his stage act had become his identity and he was losing control of his whole life.
As Robert was searching for his true identity, a friend introduced him to the spiritual side of life and Robert found the answers and peace heâd been searching for. He also found that he could actually benefit people by way of his music and he spent years developing his ability to paint word pictures with his lyrics that would communicate the love, power, and peace he finally had in his life.
Heâs not afraid to experiment with his Rockabluesic style. You can hear influences of the Beatles, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Muddy Waters, Roots music; even Appalachian, Irish, and English folk can find their way into his songs. He has assimilated all of this into a style that is distinctly The Roadman. He trusts that you will enjoy his labor of love, âRoadmanâs Hammer.â
Review from Chicago's UnderTheDome studio:
"Yeah Roadmanâs Hammer...quality project from start to finish: unbelievable writing, guitar playing that canât be touched by anyone and a voice youâll never forget - part Zep, part Beatles, part Badfinger. Strong blues feel with rockinâ cool melodies and great arrangements. Turn it up...Lotsa Loud!!!"
People who are interested in The Beatles Led Zeppelin Eric Clapton should consider this download.
