I was born in Hawkinsville Georgia which is 30 miles outside of Macon. I am the seven child out of eleven. I was raised in Baptist church and was a great worker on my family farm. I married a farmer and had 3 daughters Rosella, Evangeline and Barbara. My family and I relocated to Miami and occasionally visited Nassau Bahamas where I worked at several Hotels and venues performing. In Miami Beach I auditioned for the Big Break show produced by Larry King and won Grand prize of the performers. Winning at the Big Break Show put me with The Gospel Jazz Singers on Miami Beach at the Castaway Hotel, owned and operated by Mr. Hart at the time. While in Nassau I performed at Lovers Holiday Club with Tom Rahming and family, later I also was a back up singer for Ray Charles in Miami Beach. While raising three daughters the entertaining career was hard. I got a regular 9-5 and provided for my children as a single parent. My family of three girls and my grandchildren Shona, Frank, Frances, Ashanti and an adopted son Sylvester Ross. I assisted my girls in raising their children. Singing has always been in my heart and soul, the spirit of the lord is moving through me and I feel so much joy every time I sing his praises. The title of my song comes from testimony that is on my cd. I was injured in a car accident September 5, 1995 and that left me in a coma for 30days and could not walk for one year. But you know HE SAVE ME!!!The song he saved me is my testimony and it may be yours to. Thank God Bless America and all my family and friends.
