With a formative background in Film and Television from UCLA, Stephen Forman went on to pursue advanced studies in classical composition at the University of Washington during the visiting tenure of internationally-renowned composer Bright Sheng before mentoring under Bern Herbolsheimer of the Cornish College of the Arts.

Mr. Forman is known for writing imaginative and diverse pieces which frequently evoke visual flights of fancy in the listener. Among his compositions are short wedding waltzes, rock EP's, and sweeping orchestral movements, in styles which range from neo-classical to pop-rock to electronica.

Among his influences are such masters of orchestration and emotion as Rimsky-Korsakov and Arnold Bax as well as contemporary virtuosic bands in the progressive genre typified by Yes and Rush.
