Gabriel's hold is roots rock quartet from northern New Jersey. Chris Hanlon (guitars, mandolin, bass), Steve Coleman (vocals, acoustic guitar, bass, harp), Eric Schaberg (bass, fiddle), Tom Casperson (drums, percussion), make up the indie group. Gh records under the indie record label Cozy Productions, who they joined forces with in 2001.
The assembly of these four guys has begun a new dawn for Gh, off the heels of a farewell show in June '03 for their longtime friend and drummer Greg Hance. Concluding a chapter of nearly three years as a trio, Chris and Steve committed to keeping the songs alive, corner-stoned the rebuilding and put together a powerful new lineup of musicians eager to spread the love around for a longtime to come.
The first new holder to join ship was Eric Schaberg in October '03, followed shortly by Tom Casperson in January 04.
After only 3 jams with Tom at drums Gh field-tested the new sound in Baltimore, MD for the new chapter of Gabriel's hold. The turnout, the energy, and the excitement to welcome the guys back could not have been forecasted, it was more than they could have dreamed.

The guys have taken the charge and are committing to a new recording and a lifeline to the songs we all remember.
