Details:
A new Musical written by the seasoned British songwriting team of Steve Johnstone and George Madden, here you have a collection of catchy tunes sure to strike a chord with lovers of great music, a wide range of original songs covering most styles as performed in the 50s and 60s.

Interesting quotes from some 50s/60s people that matter: "A Beautiful job, Superb" Pete Miller www.bigboypete.com and "The Musical Industry has been crying out for something like this for years" Mike Brown www.originalsound.co.uk

The actual story goes something like this: Café waiter Joey Marino and best mate Eddy Martin are two wide-boys big on talk but short on girlfriends. Their favourite pass-time involves eyeing-up new arrivals at the local Hotel owned by Joeyâs eccentric uncle Mr. Mason, so when ex-schoolmate and Bell Boy Tommy Black turns-up with two eligible young ladies, they are naturally interested. Garage mechanic Eddy, however, has an urgent repair job to complete, so whilst Tommy seemingly returns to his life-long quest to persuade Daniela - the Hotel Maid - to go out with him, Joey makes plans. Fearing his own shortcomings, he decides his best hope with the girls is to enlist the help of his sophisticated alter-ego - imaginary twin brother Josh - but is quickly derailed when the Mailman mistakenly hands him a telegram addressed to a Mr. Josh Marino, calling him away. Not to be deterred, he decides to go ahead with his plan, but is derailed for a second time when he too is called away by a mysterious telegram.

Eddy and Tommy in the mean time raise their game, and trick Joey into putting on a leaving party at the Railway Station for the fictitious Josh. From then on, itâs a case of two into one wonât go for Joey - or is it? Jet-setters Madi Summer and Fay Weston are on a summer tour of late 1950âs Europe, but wherever they go, it rains. Their unscheduled arrival at the Hotel on the day of the Masonâs 25th Wedding Anniversary thus inevitably heralds the onset of stormy weather, but in more ways than one. Having dreamt about the boy of her dreams the night before, Madi is love-struck when she immediately meets him outside the Hotel, in the shape of Joey. Joey is equally smitten, but sticks to his plan to boost his confidence by pretending to be Josh. He then unwittingly invites Madi to the Station party, before realizing too late that itâs actually him that is going to be leaving, no matter how he plays it. He must then devise a means of keeping the two of him apart but the two of them together, whilst not letting his masquerade slip. Easy; except that Eddy and fellow accomplice Fay have other ideas. Married to former actress Diane Marino, Mr. Mason is in trouble. He has to run the Hotel single handed, organise his brother-in-lawâs wedding, deal with two new un-expected arrivals and oh yes, heâs forgotten his Wedding Anniversary. In an effort to avoid impending doom, he enlists the help of Tommy on Eddyâs advice and the two set off on an expedition to find a suitable present, only to be waylaid by rain, the lure of the party at the Station and in Tommyâs case, the surprise arrival of Daniela with an umbrella. In the mean time, a disgruntled Mrs. Mason reminisces over lost opportunities, before amusing herself with a spot of seemingly innocent matchmaking with Joey, followed by some equally innocent flirting with a bemused Eddy; or at least thatâs what Eddy thinks. The leaving party at the Station arrives and sees Joey struggling to keep-up pretences. Using an elaborate ruse and his better local knowledge he successfully manages to delay Madiâs arrival, but is still faced with Eddy and Fay, who are both keen to see him leave for different reasons. Tommy sides with Eddy and before Mr. Mason can formulate a rescue plan, Joey is bundled onto a waiting train and away. When Madi finally does arrive at the Station, the building is empty. Realising Joeyâs predicament, Mr. Mason decides itâs up to him to save the day. He covertly sets-up a series of bizarre twists aimed at re-uniting Joey and Madi, whilst still trying to placate his wife over their anniversary and sort out his brother-in-lawâs wedding. In the mean time it rains, Eddy falls for Joshâs imaginary girlfriend, Fay wrongly decides who the real boy of Madiâs dreams is, Daniela pretends to be someone she isnât, Diane suspects Mr. Mason of having an illicit love affair with someone he hasnât, Madi gets lost, Tommy gets somewhere and Joey returns from nowhere carrying an umbrella - or was that Josh? Not sure? Well it must have been one of the two, mustnât it? After all, Joey and Josh are twinsâ¦â¦.
