This is hard rock; not grunge, not death metal or punk, just good rock music in raw form. the songs are built on driving beats, crunching guitars, thunderous bass and gritty vocals. Each song tells a story and allows the listener to expand emotions.

Details:
Thank you for entering my web site. I am a high voltage electrician working in Nova Scotia. In my spare time I like to put together original recordings of hard rock music.
I have been playing guitar for as long as I can remember and I've always seemed to like songs that are gritty and hard-edged.
My first c d captures an intensity which has surprised friends and critics and even myself.
Comprised of just the basics, I built the songs around a driving beat, crunching guitars, thunderous bass runs and vocals that are shredded to perfection.
The first track, "Another War", deals with the on- going war in Iraq. Imagine yourself as a young man in a foreign country fighting as a trained killer who is supposed to be emotionally disconnected from your actions. Suddenly it hits you like a slap in the face that maybe you are really the enemy instead of the hero and right and wrong are blurred in a haze of death and destruction. This turned out to be an angry song and seemed to fit the mood of the times.
" Leave Me Alone" is more about people getting along with each other and understanding the limits of relationships. Sometimes couples get together for all the wrong reasons and don't realize the harm they are doing to each other until things start falling apart. Somewhere out there is the right person for everybody.
There is nothing quite like Halifax on a hot summer night and this is the basis for "Downtown Halifax Tonight". Let's face it , this is a party song and there is only so much one can say about it . The song speaks for itself. My favourite lead break is on this song. I remember as a kid in grade school we were introduced to all kinds of traditional music. One song, " Jack The Sailor" , always seemed to stick in my head so I decided to rawk it up and see how it came out. I don't think they'll be singing this version in school.
"Living In Canada" is about two long distance lovers and speaks for itself.
What more can a person say about "Bullies". They are ignorant and cowardly and just a waste of space. I remember in high school we had two big guys who thought they were pretty tough victimizing anybody smaller and less physically endowed than they were. They didn't particularly like each other and so one day these geniuses challenged each other to a fight after school. To everybody's surprise they ended up shaking hands and walking away saying that they respect each other to much to fight. What a load of make. When they figured out they would have to fight someone their own size and might possibly get hurt, out come the cowardly excuses.
"Wave Of Time" explores the possibility of life as an endless cycle and the only constant is that timeless conception of love.
" Motherknuckles" seems to be the most popular track. It's the tale of a boy trapped in a living hell who turns to religion in order to survive a nightmarish childhood.
The inner mind is explored in "Sweet Revenge" as a man is mentally torn apart in a consuming quest for revenge after being betrayed by his so-called friend.
Drawn into the underbelly of a sexual society which focuses on unusual forms of gratification, our protaganist is no match for the strong desires combined with a lack of will power that sees him returning over and over again to a lifestyle he knows is morally wrong.
"Tumour" is about a quest for faith triggered by a life and death situation.
Finally "Fourteen Women Dead In Montreal" refers to a sad moment in Canadian history when a crazed gunman went on a killing spree at an engineering school in Montreal. Never before have we seen such a mindless act of hatred towards women. Probably the most surprising aspect is the lack of action by the Canadian government to avoid a similar incident in the future.
No sensitivity training or national day of mourning just the occasional blurb in the news once a year.
I hope some of these songs can be an enlightening experience to the listener as they are not intended to offend but provoke feelings. My e-mail address is on the c d and any comments would be appreciated.
