Many people asked me why I was making this CD. Apart from the fact that music is its own reward, I would have to say that although I have no(human)children (plenty of 4- leggers), I now have a living, breathing entity with my signature on it. I was very ill and feared that I would die(isn't that dramatic). I was given Hope/A New Day by the Holy Spirit in the midst of the illness and that got me thinking about putting my music into concrete form. Over the course of a year and a half my faith in God and the telling of these stories made me well. That being said, the music in this CD is geared toward people with a bit of living behind them. You won't find a single 'ooh baby' song in the bunch. Instead, a collection of life experiences spanning 20 years. Song writing is therapy, and some experiences are chronicled here - divorce, death , civil liberty and Spirit love.
