Downing lives in Sycamore, Illinois with her husband, five of her seven children, two cats and a dog. She works full time as an inventory planner for one of the United States largest printing and distribution companies. In her spare time, Ms. Downing has written for years as a cherished hobby short stories and poetry inspired and created for the entertainment of her three special needs sons. Even though this is her first childrens book, she has had the honor of having over a dozen of her poems chosen and published by the International Library of Poetry since 1996. She plans on continuing and honing her craft to delight her own children and share with children everywhere. This book is dedicated to the author's son who has Asperger's Syndrome which is a high-functioning form of Autism.
