Details:
"One of the most earnest and honest performers I know...I believe every word she sings." - James Yarksy, LI VOICE.

Start with a vision where provocative music meets raw-edged verse. The new album, HERE ON THE EDGE by singer/songwriter MARCI GELLER, draws from experiences of pain, joy, intimacy and survival.

The sparse seductive song SKIN set the tone for the album when it was chosen to appear on the VOICE compilation CD IV and consequently was haled as sensual folk eroticism. WE CARRY ON which MARCI debuted on LIVE! WITH REGIS AND KATHIE LEE explores the juxtaposition of strength and dysfunction that the female protagonist experiences.

Also included is I'M SO ANGRY which seethes with emotional intensity and is driven home by it's tribal pulse as well as the powerful and honest title track HERE ON THE EDGE.

Having just returned from a European tour with Ritchie Blackmore's newest band Blackmore's Night as both the support act and member of the band, Marci is finding her audience expanding at a rapid pace. College radio has already begun to jump on this latest creation which is provoking an imminent US tour.

As she says, "My goal with any performance is not to be controversial, but rather to be confrontational. I was once accused of making an audience member feel uncomfortable. And my honest response was I'm glad I got you to feel. Some artists like to hit you over the head with their angst, and that's cool. I prefer to slowly open up a vein and let someone watch it bleed."

No flash, no restraint, simple, edgy, honest music for those who are fearless of heart and real of spirit.
