Dark and emotional ranging from straight up rock to mellow soundtrackish songs
9 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Modern Rock, NEW AGE: Ambient
Details:
This is the first release to the public from me (Geoff Damanti). This was almost exclusively recorded in my bedroom (which has been a few different places in the last year or two). I've been writing songs for many years now, for myself, and occasionally I'd play some songs for friends. I've played many a coffee shop and acoustic open mic things, been in a few bands playing different things, but this is where the heart of my music is. Don't get me wrong, I actually prefer the live setting but I've had some trouble assembling a band of people willing to play what I want. Anybody who plays knows that there are a lot of egos out there and we are all guilty of that at times. Even when I say "play what I want" in the previous sentence, that may sound a little egotistical, but it is not meant that way. What I mean is coming together for a defined purpose and accomplishing the goal. Not many people like to be told what to do, especially in music which for some is a break from just that.
But anyway, this collection of songs are all very true for me. I feel its a true expression of things that are on my mind and things that I would like out of my mind, without the compromise of sounding current or up to someone else's standards of what is professional or valid.
