Socket was formed in 2006 when various roommates, classmates and drinking acquaintances at an Oneonta, New York College all realized they were each looking to form a band. The amalgamation of their personalities, styles, and musical backgrounds gave birth to a band known for its energetic playing and eclectic song choices that somehow worked for the four young men.

Relentlessly playing bars and house parties and somehow avoiding arrest, Socket gained a following eager to hear new material each time.
The band worked together in Oneonta until the tragic graduation/transfer of half of Socket, but still managed to record, mix, and releases their debut album âFeed the Urge. Despite their mixed geographies, they still manage to compose, record, and go on short tours as their schedules permit.
