Stutrol first gained interest in being part of the art of music at 16 years of age through a mix of rock influences with the likes of Queen, U2 and the instrumental solo artists of the time and began learning the guitar. During the first few musical student years he floated between various cover and a function bands primarily as a guitarist and backing vocalist. Primarily a guitarist Stu lent a hand at vocal duties and although by no means he had a operatic voice the feedback receive for a first time vocalist was fantastic and described as âGutsy, powerful and originalâ.

For the last 2 years Stu has developed his performance largely from extensively playing solo in pubs & clubs, largely covers through an agency whilst experimenting and working on his own material arranging, producing and laying down tracks. Today Stutrolâs music is subconsciously comes from an array of influences from bands and artists with fusions of todays pop/ rock/ indie sounds along with soaring melodic guitars inspired by his love for instrumental guitar based artists such as Joe Satriani, Brian May etc. The Dave Matthews Band (USA) and Sting have been two primary influences in Stuâs music.

PRESENT

Today Stutrol is still playing venues every week every year mostly doing cover material to keep the crowds happy along with performances of his own material thrown in the mix as well as running a few open mic jam evenings and guitar tutoring. Currently Stutrol is attaining dates at city venue events to showcase his own material in acoustic format and electric format (using BTâS) as a solo entertainer and completing a 11 track album of completely self produced, performed and engineered material , written and arranged music of a rock nature but with a individual Pop sensibility which listeners have described as âUnique guitar fuelled Catchy Pop/Rockâ with a intent to distribute and put in the hands of promising publishing and potential Management.

PERFORMANCE

As a solo artist Stutrol at present relies on performances using Backing Tracks (self produced) and acoustic (guitar vocal) renditions. To the eyes and ears, Stutrolâs performances are described as powerful and energetic whilst with more softer ballad like material become restraint and moving, he displays a powerful command of the guitar and effortlessly pulls off the duty of simultaneously of singing and playing.
The material is entirely written, performed, recorded and packaged by Stutrol. What is heard on the album was solely created with limited studio equipment and relied largely on the recording capabilities of his home PC, practice guitar amp, keyboard/ drum machine, guitar, a few Microphones and much frustration, trial and error.

âEcho Within, a great ear perking debut demo from Stutrol, its is very apparent that this guys likes to play his guitar and almost all the album shows this. I for one am not a great listener of âshow off guitar slingersâ and what are referred to as âShred Headsâ but Stutrol manages to even it all out with his Vocal which makes the melodic guitar work fit just nicely into the tune giving the listener some thing else to appreciate. I am anticipated to hear Stutrolâs new workâ
