The Gnomen story:
Gnomen was established in 1972 by a group of musicians who came from a rock background. The band played together for almost 4 years with varied personnel. At the end of 1975 the group disbanded. Twenty five later Stephen Haich and Rick Lombardi, two of the original members, re-united to resurrect the original tunes. Shortly after, Dennis F Natoli(the original lyricist) also re-connected and brought a renewed element of inspiration. This CD is a reflection of the first phase of Gnomen's musical development. The songs were initially very rock based. The original group members modified the sound to be more progressive. When Rick and Steve re-united they added more contemporary elements yet retained the progressive/jazz core.
