Claudio DaMatta is a super smooth singer/songwriter with an outstanding voice. A platinum selling songwriter in Brazil, he is now producing his own selection of heart felt pop/jazz and easy listening delights. This is music from the heart and soul â with a Brazilian touch.

Claudio began by singing the MPB(Música Popular Brasileira)of Rio de Janeiro and for several years he dominated the national festival circuit, combining MPB, romantic pop and Brazilian country.

Collaborating with Alvaro Socci in 1989, Claudio moved backstage and began to focus on composing. This resulted in successes with top Brazilian artists such as Xuxa, Ze Ze DiCarmago, and Sandy & Junior and sales of more than 25 million copies.

In 2003 the pair recorded the CD Alvinho & DaMatta, with Sony Music; a romantic pop selection produced by top Brazilian group Roupa Nova.

Deciding to concentrate on his international career, Claudio recorded the solo project Hits in Bossa. This combination of bossa nova and timeless classics proved a success with both bossa nova aficionados and lovers of easy listening.

Currently, Claudio is blooming onto the international scene with his smooth style and heart felt songs. His pop/latin jazz sounds are providing a welcome relief for fans of real music.
