CL CL Curtis was born in Grenada - The Spice Island of the Caribbean. His village Paradise in the parish of St.
Andrew's was just that. "Paradise". His youth days as he recalls was just the best - lots of kids to play and everyday was summer. His attachment and love of music
came early. Must have been in his genes. His dad played saxaphone for one of the most popular bands on the island.

This musical journey has permitted him to comfortably combine Funk, Soul, Rock and Roll, Caribbean flavors that he weaves so effortlessly into simple songs, artfully put
together that everyone could enjoy. Curtis loves hard beats, heavy drumming that drives his powerful rhythms and gives his music that extra edge.

CL grew up enjoying many different styles of music. Calypso, Ska - which later became the more popular Reggae, Latin music with pulsating rhythms, Merengue, R&B especially of the Otis Redding, Sam Cooke and Percy Sledge styles. He never confined himself to the single genre mentality of music. Everything was a learning process.
