9 MP3 Songs
POP: Power Pop, ROCK: Punk

Details:
This nine-song album is the debut release from Gone Baby Gone. This Boston-based quartete delivers high-energy power-pop that's punk-rock gritty, memorable, and straight-up fun. The songs range from tight, in-your-face cliffhangers to gentler romantic narratives that recall the energy and urgency of pop pioneers like Elvis Costello and early Joe Jackson, served up with a modern pop-punk sound.

Gone Baby Gone is the flagship of Long Island power-pop cleric Brendan Lynch. Brendan cut his teeth in the New York club scene with a popular indie rock outfit called Bloo. Feeling his songwriting strength lay more in hard market rave-ups than conventional emo styles, he moved to Boston in 2001 to form Gone Baby Gone. Brendan's songs mirror his visions of life and loss but only kick into gear in the vibrant company of guitarist Mike Krilivsky, bassist Travis Williams, and drummer Chris Ventolieri.

Since forming, the band has established a solid following and reputation in the Boston music scene and surrounding area. March 2004 marked the release of their debut album, which came to fruition with the help of producer Matthew Ellard of Q-Division Studios (whose credits range from national acts like Weezer to local heroes like The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, the Lemonheads, and Morphine.) This collaboration, arranged by Boston music guru Dickie Barrett (The Mighty Mighty Bosstones), has resulted in a high-energy nine-song debut.
