In the latter part of the year 2000, Zenobia Dolli's future seemed uncertain. She was doing very badly in what should have been her last year of college. She was spending more time in her bedroom avoiding the world and writing songs, than she ever spent inside of her very expensive loan funded classroom. With the yamaha PSR keyboard her mother bought her when she was 10 and a few demo versions of some recording programs, Zenobia managed to create soul-outpouring lo-fi heartbreak anthems such as "Heartbeat" and "Fear No More" while also failing her senior year of college and diving further into a path of self-destruction and self discovery.

Nearly 8 years later The I'mperfectionist emerges, a telling and touching bedroom recording opus bubbling with all the clever imperfect perfection that the title suggests, and delivering a soulful, densely yet disconcertingly produced, story of love, heartbreak, self undoing, and self love.

The southern California native whose upbringing was split between Van Nuys, California and Meridian, Mississippi, emotes in her self produced debut album all the diversity that her two hometowns suggests. Blues, soul, pop, dub all collide in a musical version of some intense, colorful, yet disturbing modern art painting, strangely inducing both pity and enlightenment.
