From the Making me wings e.p. This is 256kbs mp3 audio.
Many of my songs start with a place, a feeling or a situation on which I can extrapolate a story. The music
for this song started from jamming on a fender rhodes piano sound for which came the riff which plays
throughout the main verse.
The story of the song is one of regret. Both of the main character who realises too late that whilst he needed
to vent, that maybe driving off a cliff wasn't the best of ideas. I don't think he actually intended to really, I
feel that he just got carried away. Also there is a parallel story of his lover who also finds herself caught up
in the moment, but this time with another man the man the driver of the car is fantasizing about
murdering.
A pretty grim tail all round really the message of this song is that in the grand scheme of things there's
always hope, unless of course you plunge to your untimely end. :)
