Description:

(ID 319243)
A dynamic blend of styles to the listener in this long-awaited CD, Come Tomorrow, as she sings her imaginative lyrics and plays piano, hammer dulcimer. Lots of great Colorado musicians back her up on many of these great songs.

11 MP3 Songs
FOLK: Modern Folk, COUNTRY: Modern Country

Details:
"You can call me folk, you can call me country..." (from "Goin' Down to Austin") Contemporary and traditional sounds make their way through my music and I blend together many styles, including Celtic, jazz, folk and country. I am a piano and hammer dulcimer player.

"Goin' Down to Austin," is a salute to Austin and the great musicians who came from there (and maybe I'll be invited sometime). "Come and Behold" is a tribute to my mother and to the 9/11 tragedy, "Banks of Niagara," an instrumental for piano and hammer dulcimer, "Nowhere Without You," a song of longing for someone you've never met, "Take Me to the Fair," about a stroll through a country fair and to places beyond, and the title cut, "Come Tomorrow," a jazz love tune. There are lots of other great songs as well.

I am originally from Buffalo, NY and have been in Colorado for over 15 years. My husband, Will, is a doctor and a great storyteller and I have two great kids, Allison and Miles. I have played the piano since I was a young girl and learned the hammer dulcimer when I lived in Iowa in the mid-80's. I love to play Celtic and old-time fiddle music on the dulcimer.

Different themes run through my music. Some of the heavier tunes come from my experiences with other people and their situations. I generally write about love, adventure, and possibilities to come. I am a huge optimist and can't help myself.

I hope you will enjoy my music. It's positive and joyful, melodic and lyrical. You won't be able to keep yourself from singing along. I play with some of the greatest Colorado musicians from both Colorado Springs and Denver.
