Description:

(ID 320047)
Alt-Country / roots-rock with a crunch. This is everything right about melding country with rock'n roll. A tip of the jar to Dylan's Highway 61 and Neil Young's work with Crazy Horse.

Details:
Graham began his professional career in 1984 with the Edmonton, Alberta band Jr. Gone Wild. On a tour to Vancouver the band van was stolen and Graham decided fate was calling and he made Vancouver his new home. In 1985 Graham formed Brilliant Orange. The band's 1985 debut on Zulu Records became a national hit on college/university radio. Brilliant Orange's next record, "Love & Evolution", was released in 1987 on BMG and sold 30,000 copies. Unhappy with the direction the band was heading, Graham went his own way in 1989. In 1990 he formed Happyman, subsequently releasing three full-length CDs. In 1992 Graham and a partner formed Stomp Records, and released Happyman's "Born To Entertain" to critical acclaim. 1993 and 1994 were mostly spent on the road. In 1995 Graham released Happyman's "Sunburst", again to critical acclaim. It was also promoted with a lot of time on the road. In 1998 Graham took time off to release a solo record, "Brand New Smile". The record attracted a strong following and garnered solid reviews in Canada, the UK, Norway, Belgium and Germany. After a year of touring, Graham got back together with Happyman in late 1999, releasing "Just Like You" to strong reviews. However, Graham realized he really enjoyed the freedom he had experienced as a solo artist, so he once again put his energy into his solo pursuits. Graham released his second solo recording "Good 'n Broke" in July 2001 to superb reviews (see website: www.grahambrownsongs.com). Graham worked the road promoting his new material as both a solo performer as well as with his trio - Graham Brown & The Prairie Dogs. Graham has just released his 6th Stomp recording "Stand Your Ground".
