Infertility Treatment Guide: The Fertility Plan
|
For fertility to occur a man must produce healthy and strong sperm and the woman must produce healthy eggs. Fertility treatments can be very expensive so it could be beneficial for couples having difficulty conceiving a baby to look at natural ways to improve their fertility. Good health, diet and exercise can all play an important part in fertility.
During the first half of the monthly cycle, a woman's body produces increasingly greater amounts of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and estrogen. The egg to be released that month is stimulated to grow by FSH. Estrogen, on the other hand, is responsible for the development of the uterine lining, which grows during each cycle to prepare for potential pregnancy.
Foods that are good sources of protein for you are fish, pork and chicken just to name a few. Along with protein you need to eat fresh vegetables and get lots of leafy greens. Zinc is another ingredient that you need to include in your daily regimen. Zinc helps with fertility both for the male and female.
The most fertile years of a woman's life are those between 18 and 28. Even into the mid-thirties, it is usually fairly easy to conceive and carry a pregnancy to term. During these years the hormones that control ovulation, enhance conception, and ensure a healthy pregnancy are usually made easily and in generous quantities.
There are no single magic supplement you can take to improve your fertility, but there are some important vitamins and trace substances that you can add to your diet to improve your chances of conceiving.
