Grant Nicholas has been musical director and/or keyboardist for artist such as Mya, Jon b, El DeBarge, Immature, Brownstone, Michael Spencer. He has also been a songwriter as well as producer for Yolanda Adams, T-Bone, Mya, Kenny Young, Syreena Henry, G-1000, Buttaphly, Spice-1, Ron Brown (Gospel saxophonist), and Nodesha Felix. He has appeared on the USA television shows Soul Train, The Tonight Show, Rosie O'Donnell, and The View (with Barbara Walters) just to name a few.

In 2001 Grant and Etienne "Chase" Clark were signed as producers with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. They departed from there in 2003 and continued to focus on their own production company Black Keyz Ent Inc to better service their own artist. Grant, along with producing partner Chase, who have formed Black Keyz Ent are working on their new artist "Krypto" who is a Hispanic Rapper from San Fernando, CA... Grant also released his first independent recording "Cherry Lane" - the Grant Nicholas Project which is a true reflection of his inner most emotions.
