Formed in 2005, The Blood Red Mountain Band draw influence everywhere from Ryan Adams to Bonnie Prince Billy and have been described as âArcade Fire meets Bob Dylanâ. The eclectic line-up features no less than eight members, playing a vast array of instruments; Mark Flynn (vocals, guitar, harmonica), Martina Leonard (vocals, glockenspiel, melodica), Tracy OâGrady (fiddle), Joeby Browne (bass & backing vocals), Ian Devlin (lead guitar, charango, mandolin), Dave Keegan (drums), and the recent additions of Brian Duggan (Trumpet) and Lindy-Sue Dredge (Accordian).

The result is what local and national Irish Press have described as âan enticing home-brew of traditional music and left-field rockâ, âremarkableâ and âtop notchâ.

The Blood Red Mountain Band used their raw and refreshing live shows to build a reputation as one of the best festival bands in town. To date they have featured at numerous high profile Irish festivals (e.g. Electric Picnic, Festival of World Cultures, Launch of Galway Arts Festival). Having also gained national media coverage, such as playing live on radio (Today FM, Newstalk FM and Phantom FM), the band have go on to work with established producer Karl Odlum (The Frames, Gemma Hayes, Fionn Regan), who has now produced their eponymous debut EP due for independent release on May 23rd.
