The music on this website was made by my late husband, Fiddlin Red Seidman. Even though they called him "Fiddlin Red" his "instrument of choice" was the guitar. That is what he wrote his music on. That is what he practiced for hours and hours at a time.

He "went to the other dimension" abruptly and quite unexpectedly in the throws of passion in November of 2007, at the height of his career on the happiest day of his life.

He was building 2 new guitars, one for a dear friend he was going to fly with and another for the great Nantucket Basket maker and Red's best friend, Michael Cane. The one he was building with Michael appeared for about 3 seconds on the Martha Stewart show on Mike's last visit with Martha, yes, he has appeared on her show a few times before-he is an artist.

Red taught himself how to play fiddle in the back seat of his parent's station wagon one trip from Wantaugh, Long Island New York to grandmother's home in Florida.

He played music for fun and money his whole life. He said frequently, "If you love what you do, you never work a day in your life". Red loved what he did, his smile and his music will live in our hearts forever.

So, now he has to help me pay for the house I built for him in the mountains of Georgia so I can acheive our dreams. We were going to build an Intentional Living Community for like minded people so we could all grow old together on our 16 acres in the foothills of the Blue Ridge. Most of his ashes are there, and we know it was his favorite place on earth, while he was here, so why not try to build a dream.

There was another place he considered home- the stage at the Hogs Breath Saloon in Key West, where he and his buddy Bruce WOWED the crowds for 7 years as the Dynamic Duo of Folk/Americana Music as BruceandRed.com... they used to call it their livingroom.
