David C. Mercer born in Waco, Texas, In his earlyyears he spent a lot of time with his Grandfather in the section of Tin Top Alley where the walls let in the cold inwinter and the heat in the summertime.

At the tender age of 5 he heard Ernest Tubbs recording of I,ll Get Along Some How his mind was made up at this early age he wanted to be a singer.

After Graduation from High School he joined THE AIR FORCE for 4 years,Withhis discharge in hand he moved on to college,Playing Clubs to make ends meet at the local venues.

Nashville called, Playing The Clubs he worked with such stars as Floyd Tillman,David Frizzell and The great Leon Rausch he fronted For Johnny Paycheck band then the hard time came back again after selling everything he owned he headed back to TEXAS.

He still had his dreams formed a Band called The Chalk Bluff they played venues mostly The Vetrans and Shriners Tragedy again struck a band member died , He then decided to spend his time writing and doing Radio Jingles after a chance meeting with Boxcar Willie he was back in front of the mike again.

Wanting to cut a new CD he went into the studio the results Boggo Road he went shopping for a Label ended up with Traveler Records from Wichita Falls, Texas this is a great CD and is getting a lot of airplay in Australia, New Zealand and The Netherlands;

You will find some great new material on this CD along with a Gem from Floyd Tillman and a grest Gospel Song Nail Scarred Hands;
