D'Rafael performs instrumental music with Latin Gypsy, jazz and classical influences. His music combines the sounds of various instruments, such as the guitar, keyboard, flute, saxophone, Latin percussion stringed instruments and bass. D'Rafael has been performing for 18 years throughout USA

D'Rafael,Guitarist composer Music Director and Arranger of 14 pieces for 'Cielo y Mar was born in Peru. He is a self-taught guitarist that brings you a new touch in music creativity, using the finest tools of perception in his artistry. His compositions are inspire by passages of life and its fantasies, His style is unique. DRafael has been composing music by the age of 6 and has been dedicated to music since. In 1986 at the age of fifteen, D'Rafael recieved his first prize in his home town Barranco Guitar Music Competition in Lima Peru. Also in 1991 he won a music award for Best Performance in the Traditional Music Competition in Miami, Florida hosted by the legendary Don Augusto Ferranndo. Previously to this year he won a scholarship to study visual arts and painting at the school of fine arts in Miami. D'Rafael performed with several bands over the past 22 years, before establishing with his own Name around 1994. DRafael has appear in numerous performances incld. TV.shows, radio performances festivals and numerous private events with 3 publications in the Boston Globe. A new Album will be release in January of 2006 with new selection of great compositions by this gifted composer.
