GROOVE FOUNDATION is a Venice Beach, CA based power trio, consisting of Casey Mallon, bass and lead vocals, H. Beanie Butler, guitar and vocals and Chris K. on drums.
Their powerful sound is the synthesis of its members eclectic musical backgrounds that create a heavy yet flowing sound of soft and melodic twists and high-energy rock and roll. Following the success of two critically acclaimed demos the band has recently recorded their first full length CD "Leaving Home" on 1st Stone Records. "We think the music shines best when it's spontaneous," explains Casey, the band's lead singer. "We like the intensity the unknown brings out so we never have a set list when we play out and we leave a lot of space for improvisation---on this CD we basically plugged in and jammed." Their music can be heard on MTV's new series "Live Throught This", and the band is currently working on a new EP and planning a west coast tour.
