The Grrrls with Guitars showcase is one of the longest running and most successfull songwriter showcases in Western Canada. Since it's inception in 1994, founder and coordinator Nadine Davenport is bringing Grrrls with Guitars to a national level. To date, GWG has showcased over 500 Canadian, women singer/songwriters to packed houses and media accolades. A GWG performance is always eclectic & interactive.

Two Compilation CD's have been released; Volume 1 in 1999 and Volume 2 in 2001.

The GRRRLS WITH GUITARS COMPILATION Volume 1 features 12 of Vancouver's women finest songwriters including; KINNIE STARR, LINDA MCRAE (ex-Spirit of The West) and ANI KYD.

GRRRLS WITH GUITARS COMPILATION Volume 2 features 16 amazing artists including; ADRIENNE PIERCE (NETTWERK), ROSE RANGER, KAT WAHAMMA, BELINDA BRUCE (Maximum/Universal), ANGELA HARRIS and NADINE DAVENPORT.

The Grrrls with Guitars have been on 3 successful tours throughout Washington, BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan in support of both compilations and they are favourites at the Vancouver Folk Music Festival. The CD's have received some great reviews from CBC Radio across Canada and Volume 1 Charted at No. 41 on the National Top 50 College Radio.

Watch for Volume 3 which is scheduled to be released this fall by Maximum/Universal.
