G-Soul is a group of musicians that incorporate many different and versatile styles. These styles are performed with high energy, and are used to entertain the diverse audience that G-Soul has attracted.

The group came into being when three UAB marching band members got together and decided to make a group that consisted of real musicians (not sampled) with a contemporary flavor. G-Soul began performing at different events around UAB and the city of Birmingham. It wasn't long before G-Soul began burning up Birmingham with their jazzy funk hip-hop style. Whether it's playing for politicians, such as Judge Mathis, a steamy nightclub scene, or a beautiful wedding, G-Soul never comes up short entertaining the crowd.

The members of G-Soul include William Lewis on guitar and vocal, Joseph Hill on the sax and vocal, Taylor Propp on bass, Marlon Spears on keyboard, and Donnell Square on drums/vocal. G-Soul has evolved into a mature band with a soothing sound that has been heard by various corporations throughout the South as well as the Birmingham Heritage Festival. G-Soul has opened for such artists as Deborah Cox, Clarence Carter, Michael McDonald, Foxy Brown, and various others.
