Joy Creed is a gospel singer/song writer originally from Jamaica who was raised by her eight siblings, all of whom are all older than her. At an early age, Joy was exposed to the Christian faith at Ewarton Gospel Hall Church, where she later gave her heart to the Lord and got baptized as a teenager. She later migrated to Canada where she resides with her daughter.

Joy has a unique and fresh anointing for todayâs generation. She believes that God chooses and uses ordinary people to proclaim His gospel. Joyâs ministry puts a strong emphasis on the love, compassion, grace, forgiveness and mercy of Jesus Christ. She sings songs of comfort, encouragement, and deliverance. Combining truth & real life experiences in her music, Joy has been able to connect with people of all ages and ethnicities through various genres.

The gift of singing and songwriting started for Joy at a very early age, where she used to write her songs each day on a piece of paper while she listened to the beats on the radio. Nonetheless, by not fully understanding the gift, she would throw the paper in the garbage after she was finished writing. It was after Joy accepted the Lord as her personal Saviour in her late teens, that she began to understand God's calling on her life. Since then, Joy has been writing and singing for the Lord. In 1986, Joy joined the group called âThe Jubileesâ as a back-up singer and has also sung lead on many occasions. Simultaneously, she also celebrated with the Jubilee's the recording of their first album titled "I Believe".
She has performed at various churches and concert venues in Jamaica, the U.S.A. and Canada.

Joyâs music, mission and vision is proof that the gospel of Jesus Christ and his love shining through believers, can send a âray of hopeâ into the lives of individuals. Consequently, it is to no ones surprise, that she tries to live God's word by regularly supporting the Maxfield Park Childrenâs Home in Jamaica through monetary means and donations of food, clothing, and educational materials. In addition, Joy is also actively involved with other missions in Ghana, West Africa.

Her debut album â âLily of the Valleyâ includes songs of Joyâs original composition along with other songs.
