Since rising from the ashes of a former project in July of 2007, The Phoenix Philosophy has not taken a break. Through the weeks spent in the studio as a single, focused unit, the accomplishment of their future is within their grasp. With the upcoming release of their new EP A Sweeter Side of Departure, The Phoenix Philosophy is ready to explode into 2008.

Beginning in Minneapolis, co-founders Jesse and Brandon began writing songs to develop their sound. Through that development it became obvious a rhythm section was needed. Soon long-time friend and previous band mate Matt was contacted to join the group. That same week, the missing element of a drummer was found when Brandon walked into a local drum shop to post an ad. After being given a recommendation by a salesman, the band auditioned Ketan. Ketan was a perfect fit and The Phoenix Philosophy was complete.

A Sweeter Side of Departure is the bandâs first four-song EP ranging from organ heavy indie anthems, to bouncy, pop rock songs. This forthcoming effort is ready to be experienced by both the loyal fan base, and the remainder of the national populace yet to hear it.

With 17,000 + active Myspace fans calling The Phoenix Philosophy their friend, they are off to a very promising beginning.

From the ashes, a new philosophy is born.
