Fans say Rocko Vaugeois has a sultry captivating voice similar to Don Henley backed up with a powerful kick comparable to Tom Cochrane, this blended together gives you a fresh and totally breathtaking experience, but completely proving to be his own unique vocalist and creative composer.

Rocko Vaugeois grew up in the once small missionary community of St Albert Alberta. Born with music coursing through his blood he can remember singing as far back as five years old. Although Rocko is no beginner at releasing an album, he has recently finished recording his first solo album with most of his own material titled Hotel Chat Noir, which features a sizzling romantic blend of R&B, rock and served up with some unforgettable instrumentals.

Rocko has performed at a variety of venues from tropical resorts to traveling through Canada with a UN Armed Forces entertainment troop. He has set foot on all corners of the world leaving behind his musical footprint. He has performed with artists such as Spencer Davis, Jim Strafford, Valdy, Billy Cowsill, Gaye Delmore, Lisa Brokop, Patricia Conroy, K D Lang, Amber Nicholson, and Jim Byrnes. He toured as the warm up act with Charlie Daniels, Michelle Wright, John Berry, Blue Rodeo, Pure Prairie League, POCO, Loverboy, Prism, Trooper, Ian Tyson and Chilliwack. Rocko has exhibited his talents by appearing in over 300 recordings with various artists as a singer, drummer, bass player, and even a producer.

In addition to his talents on stage, he also enjoys writing and producing songs. He composes the lyrics and develops the melody for most of his works. Rocko working beside producer Ray Garand have worked countless days and many nights together in their studios Water Sound and The Palace, perfecting and arranging each of the songs on the album.

Rocko has an energetic and alluring on-stage presence as a bass player as well as a drummer. His talent for instrumental beats really brought attention to him while performing in One Horses Blue. A band co-founded by Rocko in the 1978. This band wowed audiences and was responsible in creating twelve top ten singles. Hopeless Love and Bringing Back Your Love both hit number one on the charts. One Horse Blue captured the attention and was nominated and won five years running 1990-95 the BCCMA Group of the Year awards. They were also nominated in 1991 for the BCCMA Single of the Year, as well as 1990-95 CCMA nominations for Group of the Year and Drummer of the Year awards. In 1993, One Horse Blue received another nomination this time for the Junoâs again for Group of the Year.
