Former bassist from inter-nationally renowned 3-piece power metal band hailing from Detroit, âBurnerâ, fires up solo project. In Feb.2007, âSermons of Soundâ was born. I decided to write a 12-track horror story dealing with biblical prophecy and current political issues and figures. The story/lyrics read like a script or short novel set to heavy metal music.The music is dark, but yet melodic, the music fits the story well. The story takes place in an imaginary country that I created. A one-world government is formed and one universal religion is in place. You must âdenounce your faithâ, spit on the face of Christ, and receive a computer chip that surgically gets placed in the back of the neck at the start of the spinal cord.( no anesthesia, it is very painful). Now, if you don't conform to this new world order, your head simply gets cut off by guillotine:) ( a gruesome sight) A family escapes from a church during one of the âintrusionsâ and they set off to warn others and make a stand against the âUnioniteâ religion. At the end of the cd, Col. George Walker, (you would swear it was George Bush by looking at the cd cover) gets his head cut off by Gen. Osama Abduhl, (you would swear it was Osama Bin Laden by looking at the cd cover). The story is very âmark of the beastâ and/or âend of the worldâ kinda stuff. There are more political twists as well, but I don't want to give away the whole story. I wrote composed, and recorded the whole project myself. My mother is a music teacher and I grew up with music being a big part of my life. I learned music theory at a very young age (classical music mainly) and incorporated that knowledge and passion into metal music. I have several recordings, but my latest work entitled âAttack on Innocenceâ is my horror story. Again, it is graphic (no foul language), just the theme of the story, and the music is purposely written to make the hair on the back of your neck rise, or put a chill down your spine, in certain spots of the cd, not the whole thing :) I was born in 1971, and started in music (seriously) in 1989. But above mentioned âBurnerâ ran from '96-'03. We did everything an aspiring rock/metal star could want to. We recorded, played live shows ( our specialty ), did a little touring, turned down record/distribution deals. We had addictions from different drugs to different women. I have seen divorces and suicides. ( I also have seen many,many topless clubs) I have had radio-play in Germany( 104.3 fm in Berlin) and have done live on-air radio interviews in Detroit (101.1 fm WRIF) I have played shows where 150 people were singing all the words to a song, while 1,000 other people watched in awe. I am 6'8â tall with 24â of head-bangin' hair. I am an animal on stage, and very comfortable behind the bass, I find live show to be second nature, I love it and thrive on it. My fingers are flyin' and I give off these demon-possessed faces. I play an aggressive style of bass and put off a lot of energy on stage. After âBurnerâ fizzled out in '03, I toyed around in a cover band for a year. We covered anything from Metallica to Elton John, from Foo Fighters to Bad Company. But I got bored and quit, I find it more gratifying to play my own music, it satisfies my soul and calms my inner beast. In '06, I played in a band named âRedlineâ, after a couple months, I felt like the project didn't suit me. So, I played around in some more cover projects during the rest of the year. In '07, I decided to drop everything and start âSermons of Soundâ--- Immanuel Sataan
