Details:
In a city built on cars, drugs, and music,(Detroit) a child was born. This child (Jonathon (SUB-T) Jarrell) would grow to learn joy, pain, and how to endure the struggles of a black urban American. Poverty was too common to be recognized between Dequinder and Conant off Davison. In his eyes, vacaant lots, and abandoned houses being utilized by the neighbor drug dealers and hustlers, was the norm. It also seemed to be a trend to be raised in a home without a father. What wasnât a common thing was to live pass the age of 25 for the average black male. Thinking life would end shortly after high school graduation, Sub-t had no plans of attending college. ("By the time i would have earned my beachelors degree I would have only had 3 years left to live. Why waste 4 (years) trying. Teachers also discouraged me by telling me in college you just a number and your parents dont have money send you to college"-SUB-T) His plans were to make money. Not relying on the streets, he worked various jobs legal and ... to earn a livin. Music was more so a form of stress release for him than a potential career. ("Im a fan of hip-hop and a lover of music, the industry has a way of damaging that love." -SUB-T) He prefers to record songs for those that listen to lyrics over beats but has dummied it down due to the overwhelming affect of comercialism being applied by the music industry. As far as any more details SUB-T best says it himself. "if you want to know about me, LISTEN TO MY MUSIC. "
