Supercluster started as a writing and recording project for Vanessa Briscoe Hay (singer for the Athens, GA band Pylon). She enlisted the help of Hannah Jones (Sound Houses, The New Sound of Numbers) who encouraged her to write. She recruited a "dream team" from the bands Pylon, The New Sound of Numbers, Casper & the Cookies and Bob Hay & the Jolly Beggars. Supercluster perform an occasional live show in Athens or Atlanta, GA.

Supercluster combine elements of "New Wave" Pop with Appalachian folk and psychedelic rock.
