What is Trash Can Pop?

This unique style was created by combining a
reverent blend of the best traditions of Rock ânâ Roll history whether it be classic, psychadelic, punk, or pop and the application of a singular modern songwriting voice.

We're now into our 5th year of sporadic yet pleasing musical collaboration and creation. In 2004 the Sweet Leaf Boys made history with their first single, âDark Townâ, released on limited edition 7â vinyl only. Now they look forward to the 2006 release of their debut album, âSongs from the Holy Foolâ. Both releases appear on Oaklandâs infamous Splintered Tree Records and the album will enjoy international support from San Franciscoâs pioneering co-op distribution giant, IDC.

2006 is proving to be a landmark year for the Boys as they continue developing their sound into newer, farther, and brighter reaches of the musical spectroscape.
