I was born into a family of musicians. Even though I was born on the Nez Perce reservation I was raised in the Treasure Valley in Western Idaho and spent a lot of my time in Portland Oregon.

I am classically trained in low brass. In high school my major instrument was the Baritone/Euphonium. I played Slide Trombone and Tuba in jazz band. I won several awards for solo work on the baritone and the Educators Award in jazz band for my solo work with the Tuba. I studied music through my second year of college. After that I moved away from music however music wouldnât let me go too far away.

In the late 90âs I was exposed to the work of Marina Raye and had several opportunities to play the Native American Flute. In 2002 when I remarried I found out that my wife had a flute and at that point I started to âgoof aroundâ with it.

While I was goofing around with the flute people would make comments that I should play more. I decided that I would try to play other peoples songs as a way to train myself, BUT I was only going to do this for fun. I started playing songs by Mary Youngblood and R. Carlos Nakai. My wife also had a CD by Charles Littleleaf that I thought was and is one of the more expressive Native American Flute CDâs.

The combination of the above mentioned artists drove me over the edge from what I considered my âeveryday standardâ life back to the life that I was suppose to be doing and the same life that I was fighting against. After I wrote a few songs (the first three on Spiritâs Destiny and two not yet recorded) and had a dream with my mother (who had past in the mid 90âs) telling me that I needed to deal with what was in the âclosetâ (the reasons why I quit music to start with).

I finally started to accept the fact that I couldn't hide from my âSpiritâs Destinyâ any more. To top it all off I found a music school Berklee College of Music that had online classes that could help me learn to record and produce music.

I am still doing the classes (June 2008) working towards my Masterâs Certificate in Music Production and Technology. Spiritâs Destiny was produced before I started taking classes. I am currently working on my second and third CDâs, which will be even better than the first.

My initial intent was to re-record the first CD, but my current fan base wanted me to âLEAVE IT ALONEâ. So I did. I hope you enjoy this CD as much as I did creating and producing it. Thereâs still more to comeâ¦â¦â¦ and I still play for fun.....
