A ton of top-notch influences have clearly gotten their hands on this album, although Grand Funk Railroad, Floyd,and Hendrix seem to have tried, the songs all rip out of the speakers as pure Harley: off-the-cuff wit,and cool guitar riffs.

Somewhere in upper, upper (upper) Manhattan, Harley Fine has been churning out some downright vicious chunks of rock music in Zeroville Recording Studios. Hidden Drive, his first collection of songs since 2002 shows that the tranquil vibe of his neighborhood hasn't tamed the Telecaster one bit.

A ton of top-notch influences have clearly gotten their hands on this album, and no matter how much Grand Funk Railroad, Floyd, Hendrix and Moddy Blues seem to have tried, the songs all rip out of the speakers as pure Harley: off-the-cuff wit, guitar riffs abounding and solos galore.

With a little help from members of the Tuff Darts, Starlighters, Lenny Kay Connection, Nantucket, legendary engineer Wharton Tiers (Sonic Youth , J Mascis, William Shatner), Harley Fine has created a damn fine rock record.
