Lee Allanâs act has been described as , âA philosophical and analytical type who does a great jobâ by the Los Angeles Times. The Easy Reader called him, âarrestingly funnyâ and the Orange County Daily Pilot said, âhilarious performance.â And those were all different shows! So he was funny at least three different times. Not bad unless you consider heâs been doing stand-up comedy for 14 years, then maybe he just got lucky a few times.

Lee has headlined gigs all over the country and has toured around the world entertaining the troops with the USO. âMy experience with the USO has been truly life changing. When you look a 19 year old kid in the eye after a show, knowing heâs going to war the next day, you canât help but find the greatest appreciation for what they have volunteered to do. I would do a show for the troops anytime, anywhere. Itâs the least I can do.â

Early in Leeâs career he had booked a gig at Ballyâs Hotel in Las Vegas. âComing down the strip I could see in huge letters on the marquee, Sinatra. When the cab got close I could see my name in small letters under his. I thought to myself, wow, now Iâm really in show business.â

Lee has had a successful acting career as well as being a stand-up comic. He has appeared in numerous television shows such as NYPD Blue and acted in the HBO film, Introducing Dorothy Dandridge, with Halle Berry.

Leeâs CD, Just Getting By: A Stand-Up Journey is mostly stand-up comedy, but includes hilarious stories from his experiences as an actor and a comic. Like the time Garry Shandling helped Lee get âluckyâ, meeting Bruce Springsteen back stage or gambling with Jeff Foxworthy.
