Leslie Cartaya es una cantautora cubana con un estilo muy personal y una voz versatil. Leslie estudio en la Escuela Nacional de Arte donde participo en varias grabaciones profesionales y fue galardonada con varios premios incluyendo el segundo premio del festival de jovenes talentos JoJazz 2000. En el año 2001 emigra a Miami donde continua su carrera como cantautora. Aqui en Miami actua en varios lugares de la ciudad y es invitada a colaborar con artistas reconocidos como el duo Carlos y Marta y la artista cubana Marisela Verena. En el año 2003 junto con el productor y escritor Steve Roitstein crea el grupo PALO! para el cual coescribe todo el material original de la banda. Con Steve Roitstein tambien coescribe el tema Abusadora Calculadora que es incluido en la pelicula de Disney Americaâs Heart and Soul.


Leslie Cartaya is a Cuban born singer-songwriter with a very personal songwriting style and a versatile voice. She studied at the National School of Arts in Cuba. During that time she took part in numerous professional recording projects and received various recognitions, including the second prize in the 2000 JoJazz Festival. In the year 2001 Leslie moved to Miami where she performs in many prominent venues. She has been invited to collaborate with renowned artists such as duet Carlos y Marta and Cuban singer-songwriter Marisela Verena. In the year 2003 together with songwriter- producer Steve Roitstein Leslie co-founded the group PALO! This afrocuban funk band features original compositions written by Leslie and Steve Roitstein. One of their original songs was included in the Disney Film Americaâs Heart and Soul.
