Details:
Adidi-The Unrocked Story is the long awaited sequel to the 1994 LP "A Headnadda's Journey to Adidi Skizm" by MC, at that time named, Sha-Key. Sha-Key, now Hanifah Walidah took the title track from the heralded 1994 album and extended the story into a hip hop opera. This project was first put together back in 1996 debuting first as a 20 minute demo that inspired groups like Attica Blues and Mike Ladd who later accounts for Adidi inspiring his hip hop operas the Infesticons and Majesticons.
The characters of Adidi are given life with the poetic talents of Saul Williams, Mums the Schemer, Nimflo Nine and Skamz who at the time were just apart of the growing NYC poetic scene. The music beinghte other half of the battle is produced by Earl Blaize of Anti-Pop Consortium who was also the original producer of "Headnaddas..."
Released finally in 2003 in France, Adidi-The Unrocked Story still quietly moves through underground circles and is in limited stock.
