Biography

Sir Nite was born in the city of Norfolk VA. He was raised in Park Place but later returned to his roots in the Norview area of the city. He attended Rosemont Junior High School, where he participated in the elite junior high school drum section. This sparked his passion for music and he knew that music would be his career path. He also attended Norview High School, where he became one of the top drummers in his class. At the age of seventeen, he was hired into his first professional band. He had the opportunity to play with some of the best local musicians this area had to offer. Bands such as; Shade-z, Hot ice, As one, Poetry In Motion, Gratitude, Right On, and The Main Ingredients all enjoyed the stage with Sir Nite. He has been a professional musician for over sixteen years. Growing up, he was exposed to all types of music and desired to become a producer to create good music for all ages. Being a lover of FUNK, his influences came from such great artists as Rick James, Earth, Wind and Fire, Cameo, Confunction, The Isley Brothers, Lakeside, The Gap Band, and The Police. Hip Hop being important to him as well, his influences were N.W.A, Run D.M.C, LL Cool J, E.P.MD, 2Pac and Biggy. Just barely escaping prison, he knew that he had to make a change in his life and do what god had called him to do, Music. He set up a studio and Sir Nite Production was born. He went on a talent search to find some original artists and having a keen sense for talent and good music, he put together a compilation C.D. featuring his artists. The debut album âTHE FUNK FACTORYâ The first single, âTHAT GREENâ has enjoyed the spotlight as the number â1â requested song for 4 weeks running on the 92.1 The Beat radio show featuring Ms. Blendz. We will be hitting the streetâz, radio, internet, and television bringing the world the hot, funky, original sound of SIR NITE PRODUCTION.
