Details:
This record represents 3 years of putting together and recording ideas for songs that were banging around in my head trying to get out. Rather than sounding like a unified "package" there are many stylistic and sonic changes here. Even the productions vary some from song to song...what can I say, I have a short attention span. The biggest hoot for me was working with Pete Generous on drums and Carlos Gornic on bass for most of the songs. Both real pros...and both worked by long distance on this project using file sharing over the web. Largely because of their talents, I think the songs sound like we were all in a room playing together. I also had the pleasure of working with Greg V (from his studio in California via the web) and Dan Mullins (from his studio in Long Island). I think the variety and fresh perspectives they all brought to the music made it much much better. Finally Jean Weitzmann of Akai was a huge part of this because whenever I had questions about "how-to", the answer was there almost before the question!
